As believers it is our responsibility to pray for America always, not just in times of national crisis. As believers it is our responsibility to pray for America always, not just in times of national crisis. Without diminishing the importance of the Supreme Court or the president, they are not the source of our future or our hope. Only God and the power of the Holy Spirit working in the living of citizens can sustain the strength and the future of this nation.
James 5:16 – encourages us that “the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much,” and throughout the Bible we see how true these words are. Prayers moved the hand of God and changes came to nations, leaders, laws, and individuals. S. D. Gordon said, “The greatest thing anyone can do for God and man is pray. It is not the only thing, but it is the chief thing.”
First, as God’s people, we must humble ourselves and confess to God the sin of our nation as well as our lives – our self-centeredness, lust, addiction, the love of the world, and any area in which we are disobeying His Word. God has said, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chr. 7:14). John Wesley adds, “Strom the throne of grace and persevere therein, and mercy will come down.”
Second, we must pray for our leaders and authorities. Ask the Lord to give godly wisdom, protection, and direction to the president, Congress, state and local officials, judges, as well as those whom God has raised up to lead His people (Ezra 6:10; Romans 13:1-5; 1 Timothy 2:1-3). If we see nonbelievers taking control of the government, passing laws that violate the laws of God, and jeopardizing our God-given freedoms, our mandate is to intercede and trust God to restore godliness to our nation and communities.
Third, we must pray that the Lord will work in a powerful way in the hearts of believers and people from all walks of life (Ps. 85; Hos. 6:1-3; Hab. 3:2). Only God has the power t9 free people from the sins that destroy their lives as well as the foundation of righteousness.
Fourth, we must pray for families, for school system, for military, for the economy, and for the vital aspects of our society. Be aware of what is going on, and pray.
THE CORNERSTONE OF AMERICAN SOCIETY!
Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States (1981-1989), wrote:
The family has always been the cornerstone of American society. Our families nurture, preserve, and pass on to each succeeding generation the values we share and cherish, values that are the foundation for our freedoms. In the family, we learn our first lessons of God and man, love a discipline, right and responsibilities, human dignity and human frailty.
Our families gave us daily examples of these lessons being put into practice. In raising and instructing our children, in providing personal a d compassionate care for the elderly, in maintaining the spiritual strength of religious commitment among our people – in these and other ways, America’s families make immeasurable contributions to American well-being.
Today more than ever, it is essential that these contributions not to be taken for granted and that each of us remember that the strength of our families is vital to the strength of our nation.
Psalm 102: Nation’s prayeris like that of Afflicted Man
A Prayer of an afflicked Man. When ne is faint and pours out his lament before the LORD.
Hear my prayerw, O LORD; let my cry for help come to you. Do not hide your face from mewhen I am in distress. Turn your earto me; when I call, answer me quickly.
For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn like glowing embers. My heart is blighted and withered like grass; I forget to eat my food. Because of my loud groaning I am reduced to skin and bones. I am like a desert owl, like an among the ruins. I lie awake; I have become likel a bird alone on a roof. All day longmy enemies taunt me; those who rail against me use my name as a curse. For I eat ashes as my food and mingly my drink with tears because of you great wrath, for you have taken me up and thrown me aside. My days are like the evening shadow; I rather wither away like grass.
But you, O LORD, sir enthroned forever, you renown endures through all generations. You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity. The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory. For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory. He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.
Let this be written for a future generations, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD: “The LORD looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners a d released those condemned to death.” So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem when the people and the kingdom assemble to worship the LORD.
In the course of my life he broke my strength; he cut snort my days.
So I said:
“Do not take away my, O my God, in the midst of my days; your year go on through generations.
In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will wear out like a garment. Like clothes you will change them and they be will discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end. The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.”

Homemakers use clay pots for cooking. At mealtime, Show pottery bulls were used as platters and dishes. In the evening the homes were lit by clay lamp. The potters who supplied the much needed pots were important to the economic lives of ancient villages. A modern Potter describes her craft like this: Both my hands shake this pot. And, the place where it actually forms is a place of tension between the pressure applied from the outside and the pressure of the hand on the inside. That’s the way my life has been. Sad dissin death in misfortune and the love of friends in all the things that happened to me that I didn’t even choose. All that influences my life. But, there are things I believe in about myself. My faith in God and the love of some friends that worked on the inside of the period my life, like this pot comment is the result of what happened on the outside in what was going on on the inside of me. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones. And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.
Thought for the day, I know that my future is in God’s hands. I was born in Rison Russia in 1999. My parents were alcoholics who took me to Bar where it when I was very young. A few days after my 3rd birthday David Foster right to keep me, I was placed in an orphanage. The orphanage was Bull about 40 kids, including my brother. I was too young at the time to understand what was happening, so I just went along. When I was four, and American couple adopted me and brought me to Fort Worth Texas, where my new life again. I grew up with three American sisters and my brother Colo, who was also adopted from Russia. My parents put me in a good school where I received an amazing education, which eventually brought me to college where I plan to study business management. When I was in your finish, I had no clue what my life was going to look like. But God knew. God sent loving parents to adopt me and raised me to be the best person I can be. I do not know what my future holds, but I know it will be used to glorify God’s Kingdom. This is from Alex Jordan from Texas
Prayer dear Lord thank you for turning our night into day redeeming us and giving us a second chance, Amen.
Hebrews 2:1-4 > therefore we must give the most Earnest heed to the things we have heard, least we drift away. For if the word spoken through and through steadfast, and every transgression and disobedient receive a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a Salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed To Us by those who heard him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wanders, with various Miracles, and Gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?
Sometime something very seriously has has been happening to the body of Christ. We whilst and let the things which we heard the message of faith and righteousness I’m not just talking about those believers who been so surrounded by religion that they’ve never heard about the power that’s there’s in Christ Jesus. I’m talking about those of us who have heard the word and have known the thrill of living by faith. In my own life, for example, there was times when I pray for healing. I’d say all the right words, thank God, I believe I received and all that. But inside I’d be thinking I wonder why God isn’t feeling me? You see, even though I’d said that I believed I was healed, I hadn’t really. I staggered at the promises of God, believing what my body told me instead of the word of God. I don’t care how long you been a Believer or how long you been practicing the principles of Faith. You can easily slip into unbelief about the promises of God. And, when you do, it will cost you dearly. But if slipping into unbelieve is so easy, you may say how can we avoid it. Hebrews chapter 4 verses 11 tells us let us labor therefore to enter into the rest, least any man fall after the simple example of unbelief. We must labor! Not by working with the our hands and feet or struggling to get God to do something. But by spending time and God’s word hanging onto the promises of God by faith day after day. We must labor by hearkening to the word of God and refusing to not let it slip away. Don’t get casual about the word. Don’t make the mistake of thinking, oh I know all that fake stuff. I know how to receive my healing. If you do, you’ll slack off and one of these days the devil will catch you I’m prepared and still you’re still you blind. Instead. Dig more deeply into the word than ever. Labor! Be diligent to keep your faith from slipping and you won’t have to fall!
