Deliverance from the Lord!

Psalm 13 For the choir director. A Psalm of David.

1. How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

2. How long will I store up anxious concerns within me, agony in my mind every day? How long will my enemy dominate me?

3. Consider me and answer, Lord my God. Restore brightness to my eyes; otherwise, I will sleep in death.

4. My enemy will say, “I have triumphed over him,” and my foes will rejoice because I am shaken.

5. But I have trusted in your faithful love; my heart will rejoice in your deliverance.

6. I will sing to the Lord because he has treated me generously.

The Lord Delivers the Righteous! Concerning David, when he pretended to be insane in the presence of Abimelech, who drove him out, and he departed.

1. I will bless the Lord at all times at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.

2. I will boast in the Lord; the humble will and be glad.

3. Proclaim the Lord’s greatness with me; let us exalt his name together.

4. I sought the Lord, and he answered me and rescued me from all my fears.

5. Those who look to him are radiant with joy; their faces will never be ashamed.

6. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all his trouble.

7. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.
